 ColSel is designed especially for webmasters and programmers, but it can be very useful for ordinary users too. It can help with choosing appropriate colors for your desktop or colors for your favorite program's GUI.
The main feature of this program is to provide the color code of the chosen color in several different formats available.
However, it may take a few seconds to explore all options, discover other interesting and useful functions of the program. Here is the list of key features:
• User-friendly, clear and intuitive user interface
• Three language versions (English, German and Polish)
• Picking any color from the desktop using handy tool
• The possibility to choose the color form "Windows palette" or from ColSel's "advanced color picker screen". You can load an image for color extraction in one of the following formats: BMP, GIF and JPG
• Possibility of defining and using 10 favorite colors
• The chosen color will be displayed in seven different formats (HEX, HTML, DEC, VB, C++, Delphi, Java)
• The possibility of conversion the color to the WebSafe palette, which is a very useful function for webmasters
• Copying the color code in selected format to the clipboard
• Color scheme preview option
• DEC - RGB(R,G,B) to HEX color code built-in converter
• Minimization of the main window to the small bar containing chosen color's code
• Possibility of setting program (and its windows) always on top
